From the Library – The Library Board of Trustees is Now Seeking Applicants from the Community to Fill a Vacant Seat

The Irondequoit Public Library (IPL) Board of Trustees is seeking a dynamic, committed, and passionate community member for service as a Trustee. This working board is proud to lead the strategic efforts of the Library, provide fiscal oversight, and collaborate with the IPL Team, Patrons, and Irondequoit Citizens to ensure this community asset continues to be a viable and inclusive resource. The IPL Board of Trustees has identified preferred characteristics of top applicant:

• Familiarity with boardsmanship and/or experience on a board
• Background in communication/marketing, and/or corporate or municipal law, and/or technology
• Working knowledge of municipal budgets
• Multilingual
• Understanding of or experience in libraries

The Town of Irondequoit and IPL Board of Trustees strives to reflect the diversity of our town and inclusiveness of our community. Interested applicants should submit a letter of interest, including any of the specifically identified qualifications above as well as their availability to participate in monthly meetings and several hours of committee work per month.
