Kasia Pelepko is a local yoga instructor who will lead the Slowness, Sound, and Savasana yoga series this month. This two-week series of classes will be held online through Zoom on December 3rd and December 10th.
Slowness, Sound, and Savasana will welcome you to slow down in a season that seems to encourage constant busyness and doing. Participants will practice traditional standing yoga poses and end with some stretching and a savasana (final resting pose). Both classes will offer an opportunity for moving with control and slowness to encourage body awareness and focus. Classes will also include some experimentation with sound by way of breathing techniques and music.

Participants will receive an email with the login information for Zoom before the class begins.
The instructor also wants all participants to have the following props handy: “A blanket or two, a few pillows or a yoga bolster, a few books or yoga blocks, and a scarf, belt, or yoga strap. If you have an eye pillow or hand towel, you might want to use that to cover your eyes during final resting pose. You are welcome to use a yoga mat if you have one available, or you could just practice on the floor.”
