From the Library – NEXT THURSDAY (3/24/22): Susan B. Anthony and Women’s History
Michelle Furlano, a historian who studied at the University of Rochester, will lead a discussion of the work of the leading figure in the women’s rights and women’s suffrage movements in Susan B. Anthony and Women’s History on Thursday, March 24, at 7:00 PM.
Not only did Susan B. Anthony advocate for women’s political, economic, and social rights, but she also published a history of the woman’s suffrage movement that became an important contribution to the writing of women’s history. Since her death, women and women’s rights organizations have used Anthony’s image, name, and history in the continuing fight for women’s equality and allowing her contributions to women’s fight for equality and women’s history to endure.
