From the Library – THIS FRIDAY (11/18/22): Live Mexican-American Music and Storytelling

Celebrate the Sister Library relationship between the Irondequoit Public Library and the Roma (Texas) Public Library with Live Mexican-American Music and Storytelling. Listen to folktales told in Roma and listen to live music performed by Alma de Mexico, a local singing group.

Alma de Mexico has performed in the Monroe County area for the last three years with traditional Mexican-American singing, dancing, and costumes. The members of Alma de Mexico are not only from Mexico, but also from Chile, Argentina, and Colombia.

Live Mexican-American Music and Storytelling will be held on Friday, November 18, at 3:00 PM. If you’d like to attend, please register now through our Event Calendar. You can choose to attend in-person at the library, or you can watch the show online via Zoom. If you choose the online option, you’ll receive an email with the login information for Zoom before the program begins.
